How To Promote Your E-Book

The book I read to research this post was My Way: How I Took My Book To The Top Of The Charts by David P Perlmutter which is a very good book that I downloaded for free from kindle. This book is about how the author got his book to No 1 in the True Crimes section of kindle USA. It tells you all about how he went about publishing it and promotion. Often authors find the formatting and publishing the book on kindle difficult processes. He befriended another author on Twitter who suggested someone to do it cheaply. Equally you need a decent cover which you can contract out in the same way. The author started doing a blog on his traumatic experiences and someone suggested he should make it into a book. One of the most important factors on kindle is getting positive reviews. The best way of doing this is to offer it free for a limited period after which they must pay. You should request reviews. He also did interviews including one for BlogTalkRadio. He recommends Goodreads which is primarily a social media site for authors although I think anyone interested in books would find it interested. If you release an e-book on the free kindle chart although there algorithms are secret he knows from experience it appears to bolster it up the paid book chart once transferred. Even though it was sold for free Amazon count it at least partly as being paid book sales. This book is only around 40 pages and is a must read for any budding authors. I thoroughly enjoyed it and do recommend it.
